Township Permits

Instructions for using permits:

1.  Download the Adobe Acrobat Reader if you do not already have it installed

2.  Download the permit by clicking on the Permit link below, some files may take a few minutes on a dial-up connection..

3.  Fill out the permit and mail to the appropriate address

4.  More information on permits can be found at www.michigan.gov or by calling Township Hall

5.  Return completed permit to contact listed below, feel free to call for more information.

Before securing a building permit the owner should :

1. Review the zoning ordinance  --located on the Wakefield Township website (below)

2. Obtain an estimate of the property taxes for your new home, garage or addition.  This will help you determine the size and style of your building.   Call Melissa Prisbe, our assessor, at 906-663-4414 and she will be glad to help you.
